Gunmen on the run

September 28, 2005

Thomasville, Georgia-- Police are looking for two men who fired shots during an attempted robbery in Thomasville Tuesday night.

It happened at the Flash-N-Pack Food Store on the corner of Magnolia and Fern streets. Police say the owners were leaving for the night when the men tried to rob them. They fired a pistol but no one was hit.

Investigators say the men are armed and dangerous. "We're asking that any citizen who might have any information that would resolve this as quickly as possible to get in contact with the Thomasville Police Department. They can call 227-3375," says TPD Investigator, Melven Johnson.

Police say they're looking for two black men in their early twenties. Both of them are about six feet tall. Investigators say the men ran when they realized someone had called the police.
