Sylvester- There are still dozens of homes in the city of Sylvester that cannot be repaired and are unsafe for families to move back into.
City Manager Danny Lucas says less than half a dozen of the mobile homes that were flooded in July were fully insured and have permits pending to be replaced.
Many of the homes were being rented, but owners have not yet contacted code enforcers to inspect them. Lucas says the city is working to set a timeline to have the homes removed.
