Thomasville, Georgia-- Thomas County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating whether Terry Smith is responsible for a string of burglaries in Southwest Georgia.

Smith has been arrested for one of the burglaries at this point. But investigators say they're looking at him for at least ten others in Grady, Seminole, Decatur, and Miller counties.

They say they caught a break when some of the stolen property was recovered at a pawn shop in Miller. "As soon as we're able to identify property belonging to people here in Thomas County we'll contact them, have them come down, take a look at it and try to get it to them as soon as we can," says investigator, Pascal Autrey.

Smith has been charged with burglary. Most of the items stolen came from sheds, garages, and houses. Investigators say that last week in Grady County, he was sentenced to ten years behind bars for similar charges.
