Tifton- A group of Abraham Baldwin College students calling themselves the Christian College Students for Change have planned a benefit gospel concert. It will feature more than half a dozen choirs and performers from South Georgia.
"We looked in the Gulf Coast region everybody lost everything they had and we were so fortunate here in the same country to have so much stuff, and there are our brothers and sisters that lost everything they had. So, as Christians we just felt compelled to do something to help them out," says Justin Pitts.
The event is free, but donations are being collected and all the money will go directly to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. The concert will be held in the Howard Auditorium on the ABAC campus Saturday at 6 PM.
