Albany - Darton College has some of the finest athletic facilities of any two-year college in the state and in the region.
Darton President Dr. Peter Sireno was among the dignitaries cutting the ribbon on the college's new tennis complex.
The old complex was torn down to make way for a perimeter road on campus.
The new complex has eight courts including two center courts with spectator seating, covered pavilion, restrooms and a concession area with full kitchen.
Dr. Sireno says the public is invited to play on the new courts anytime they want as long as Darton has not reserved them.
He believes those who play at the new tennis center will be impressed with all of the athletic faclities located on the Darton campus.
Dr. Sireno said "You look around and you see an outdoor walking track. You see a challenge course, a softball field, soccer fields, baseball fields and inside the physical education facility you have a pool, an indoor walking track and an aerobics facility."
The new tennis complex is in the back of the campus next to Darton's soccer complex and baseball field.
