South Georgia - Voters in four South Georgia counties gave the nod to local option sales taxes.

In Worth County, voters approved a SPLOST that's expected to raise $7.6 million over five years.

461 people voted yes, 103 opposed the tax.

A similar result in Irwin County where the sales tax money will pay for improvements at county schools.

533 voters supported the referendum, 172 did not.

Voters in Terrell County overwhelmingly approved a sales tax extension.

Only 487 people voted, and 428 of them said yes.

And in Decatur County, higher voter turnout than the other counties, but the outcome was the same.

They approved a sales tax referendum 1,069 to 65.
