Albany - A main street through downtown Albany is getting a make-over.
The median of Broad Avenue from North Jefferson Street to Davis Street will soon look a lot better.
The Albany Garden Club, Mossy Oaks Landscaping, Albany Technical College, and Southwest Georgia Master Gardeners are working with the city to spruce up the medians.
Public Works Director Phil Roberson says the road that leads people into a growing downtown needs to be more welcoming.
The private/public partners will plants flowers, shrubs and trees.
Once they're finished the stretch of Broad Avenue, they hope to landscape medians on other streets arond Albany.
