Leesburg - The final public hearing on Lee County's proposed tax increase is postponed. The September 29th hearing has been put off until October 3rd, because of the Lee County High School homecoming parade.
Two previous public hearings have drawn large crowds of critics.
County Commissioners initially proposed raising property taxes more than 21 percent. At the last public hearing, commissioners suggested they would only raise rates 14 percent.
