Ernest Johnson was the third candidate in that race.

The winner will fill the Ward 5 Seat previously held by the late Joseph Breedlove.

Voters there in Terrell County and several others overwhelmingly approved sales tax extensions.

In Terrell County, 428 people voted for the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax referendum. Only 59 voted no.

Easy approval for a SPLOST referendum in Worth County that's expected to raise 7.6-million dollars over five years.

In Decatur County, a lot more people cast ballots, but the result was the same.
