Albany--Big businesses are helping small businesses in South Georgia get the work they need to keep their doors open. The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business in Albany is bringing together mentors and proteges to encourage growth and success in small business ventures. The program will include twelve businesses and last for one year.

"The goal is that they connect with a strong large company, and that they can increase their business by the business know how of the large company. You take a small office supply company and partner them with somebody like Office Depot, who would give them new ideas and new concepts" said Pinky Douglas, director of the Albany Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business.

Big or small businesses interested in the program should contact Pinky Douglas at (229) 878-3159.
