Valdosta - Students at Valdosta State University are giving up a comfortable bed to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity are "Camping for Katrina." They've set up tents on their front lawn, and will stay there all week to collect food and supplies for hurricane victims.

They're asking for canned goods, personal hygiene items, bottled water, clothes, and money.

"The SAE chapter at Tulane was completely wiped out and we're connected to a lot of people in Louisiana and Mississippi, so we really wanted to help," said Gary King.

The group will be taking donations 24 hours a day until Saturday afternoon. You can drop them off at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon House on Baytree Road, across from VSU's physical education complex.
