Douglas- These are family photographs of what investigators say are second and third degree burns on the hip of a 21 year old quadriplegic student.

Pam Pope worked as a paraprofessional at Coffee County High School. She's charged with felony battery, felony neglect to a disabled adult, and misdemeanor reckless conduct.

Investigators say Pope burned the student when she attempted to dry urine on his pants with a blow dryer. They say the student did try to tell Pope that she was hurting him.

Superintendent Billy Smith says Pope is no longer working in the system, but won't comment on whether she was fired or resigned. Pope is out of jail on $17,000 bond.
