Albany-- The murder trial of an Albany teen is postponed for two months. Judge Stephen Goss continued the murder trial of 18-year-old Kentrell Hightower until November, to allow the District Attorney to interview new witnesses.

Prosecutors have charged Hightower with murder, after he stabbed 23-year-old Corey Pickett in the back with a kitchen knife August Ninth, 2004. His defense attorney said in court Monday that Hightower stabbed Pickett to protect his mother, after Pickett attacked her.

Pickett and Hightower's mother were dating at the time. If Pickett is found guilty of murder, he would be sentenced to life in prison.
