The SEC has announced its Players of the Week, and there are some very familiar names to South Georgia football fans.
Former Lee County star Chris Hetland has been named Specialist of the Week.
The junior kicker connected on field goals of 40 and 47 yards in his first two career attempts, and helped Florida beat Wyoming 32-14.
Hetland's 47 yarder is the longest under Urban Meyer in his coaching career.
The league's offensive player of the week is DJ Shockley.
The Georgia QB accounted for six total touchdown's in his debut as a starter.
His five passing TD's tie David Green's record, and Shockley's six total break the school record.
Shockley completed 16-of-24 passes for 289 yards, and also rushed for 85 yards on five carries and another score in leading Georgia to a 48-13 win over Boise State.
