Valdosta - An inmate is found dead in a South Georgia jail.
A deputy found the 37-year-old male unresponsive in his cell at the Lowndes County Jail around 5:00 Friday morning. Investigators say they don't suspect foul play, and the cause of death seems to be natural, but the G.B.I. is investigating.
"He'd been check hourly and around 5:00 in the morning, a guard found him laying on the floor," said Lowndes County Sheriff Ashley Paulk.
The man was being held in a cell by himself and was in jail for driving with a suspended license. His name has not yet been released pending notification of kin.
