Valdosta - The NGA Hooters Tour is back in South Georgia for the second annual Langdale Ford Championship at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta.
Zimbabwe's Bruce McDonald is one player glad to be back in Valdosta.
He won the first Langdale Ford Championship last year at Kinderlou with an overall score of
That scores is almost 20 shots below what it takes to win most other tournaments on the NGA Hooters Tour.
The Kinderlou layout is difficult but it is the kind of course guys on the PGA tour have to battle every week which means it is good test for a lot of players who are hoping to earn a tour card in qualifying school in a couple of months.
Bruce McDonald said "If you can play well on this kind of course, to me that means you have got a shot at playing well on tour level golf courses because you don't get to the PGA tour and play golf courses everyone can hit two iron or three wood. Courses are long and there is rough and you have to ball strike it around to be a good PGA tour player."
The Langdale Ford Championship starts on Thursday at Kinderlou Forest and the final round is on Sunday.
