Albany-- You may not realize it but there are some talented artists here in South Georgia and the proof is on display at the Carnegie Library.

The Sunbelt Photography Club held their First Annual Photography Contest. The contest includes hundreds of entries from both amateur and professional photographers. Awards were given in categories such as people, nature, scenic and action photography. Organizers say the contest is a great way for people to appreciate the beauty of pictures by displaying the talents of local photographers.

"Publicize photography, reach out to the community because there's a lot of good amateurs in town and there's very good pro-shooters," says Sunbelt Photography President Alan White.

All money from entry fees minus expenses will be donated to Liberty House and The Arts Council. The images will be on display at Carnegie Library until September 10th.
