Poulan- not much is left of 21 year old Quincy Bailey's Cadillac Deville. The chase started in Poulan when Bailey refused to stop for officers trying to pull him over for defective equipment on his car.
Police say he headed toward Tifton on Highway 82 traveling at speeds above 100 miles per hour. The chase ended when Bailey lost control of his vehicle and slammed head-on into a tree on Whiddon Mill Road.
He suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a Macon hospital. Police aren't sure why Bailey ran from them, but he has been charged with several traffic violations. He also faces charges from the Georgia State Patrol.
