Lumpkin- A Lumpkin man looking for a gun battle with police opens fire on both the Lumpkin police and Stewart County Sheriff's departments.

Police are trying to piece together how many shots were fired after four law enforcement officers and one EMT were shot.

The call to police came at two o'clock this morning, that 26-year-old Marcus Dalton was contemplating suicide by police.

Dalton opened fire on the Stewart County Sheriff and Lumpkin Police departments with a Tech-9.

Two suspects were taken into custody, but a third suspect fled. That man later took a hostage, but he was shot and killed by a law enforcement officer.
