Albany - City leaders are spending $77,000 to keep consultants on board for just a month longer. The city already paid Capital Principles $85,000 to come up with a five year strategic plan for the city.

Now, the company will stay on until at least September 31st to help the city start implementing some of the proposed changes.

The consultants said changes in all departments will save the city $19-million over the next five years. City commissioner Dorothy Hubbard said the consultant salary is well worth those savings.
