Thomasville-- A 17 year old boy is accused of molesting an 8 year old girl in Thomasville.

Police say Kenny Cook inappropriately touched a relative repeatedly Sunday night. They say the girl tried calling 911 early Monday morning, but that Cook hung-up the phone before she could speak.

Officers say they went to Cook's house and originally arrested him for obstructing police. "Further investigation ensued. And after all the evidence was looked at, and Mister Cook was talked to by our investigators, he was arrested for child molestation. He is currently in the Thomas County jail," says Thomasville Police Sergeant, Rachelle Denmark.

Investigators say Cook may have also molested the girl twice last year when she was seven.
