Valdosta - Police are looking for a man who robbed a store and tried to shoot the clerk.

Just before 9:00 Wednesday night, the man walked into A.J.'s Gas and Food Mart on North Lee Street, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money.

When he handed the cash to the suspect, he shot at him. Luckily the bullet missed the clerk and the suspect ran out.

"The gunman was an African American male, 6'2 in height, with a dark complexion and wearing camouflage clothing," said Lt. Bernard Robinson.

Several customers were in the store when it was robbed, but no one was hurt.
