Albany-- Theatre Albany is kicking off its 73rd season with a tribute to Rodgers and Hammerstein.

Cast members have been hard at work for six weeks rehearsing for "A Grand Night for Singing". The show includes music from Oklahoma, The King and I and The Sound of Music. Director Dotty Davis promises a night ticketholders won't forget.

"Absolutely. They're ready to hit the stage and I think it's a great opening for the season of Theatre Albany and it's a great opening, just a wonderful musical," says Davis.

Opening night is this Friday the 12th. The show runs until August 27th.
