Thomasville-- An intelligence gathering in Canada might bring more business to Thomas County.
Chamber of Commerce President Don Sims just returned from a "meet and greet" session in Toronto. More than 40 Canadian companies, industries, and tourism representatives attended. Thomasville is one of only 10 communities from Georgia that were invited.
Sims says he is actively marketing the Rose City to several contacts he met at the meeting. "They were surprised to learn that a location in Thomasville, Georgia serves not only the Georgia market but the Florida market. And those combined markets are 26 million," he says.
Sims also says that before meeting him, the contacts thought Atlanta was the place to relocate. He is also trying to bring more Canadian tourists to Thomasville.
