Leesburg - Lee County's Buster Posey is getting ready to start his collegiate career at Florida State. Posey has received one last award for his brilliant high school career.
Lee County head baseball coach Rob Williams says Buster Posey has been named Louisville Sluggers player of the year in the state of Georgia and wasalso named to the Lousiville Slugger
All-American.
Buster Posey was also named the Gatorade high school player of the year in Georgia after he hit .462 last spring with a school record 14 homeruns and 40 rbi's.
On the mound, Posey won 12 games with 108 strikeouts and earned run average just over one.
