Winning lottery tickets aren't so unlucky

Albany -- Winning lottery tickets turned out to be very bad for an Albany man Wednesday.

Thirty-two-year-old Robert Price ended up in the Dougherty County jail after he tried to cash some winning tickets at The Warehouse. Turns out, the tickets were taken in a July burglary at Dixon Food Mart on Gordon Avenue.

When Price tried to cash in the tickets, employees at the liquor store called police. Price told officers he got the tickets from 35-year-old Benjamin McClendon, who was later arrested.

Price and McClendon are charged with theft by receiving stolen property. The burglary remains under investigation.
