Americus- SFC Victor Anderson was one of four National Guardsman to be killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq Saturday.

The 39 year old father of two was a deputy at the Sumter County Sheriff's Office. Black bands now cover most of their badges and white bows decorate the office in honor of Anderson. His co-workers say he was one of the most caring and dedicated people they ever met.

"Vic was just a super, super guy and he was always a pleasure to be around. We wish we had more employees just like him, and he paid the ultimate sacrifice to his country," says Colonel Eric Bryant.

The sheriff's office is planning to hold a special service in honor of Anderson and place a memorial to him in the lobby.
