Lee County - County Commissioner Jackie Sizemore says he had the signs removed, because citizens were complaining about a lack of parking spots at the tax commissioner's office, but Tax Commissioner Betty Johnson says Sizemore took them down, because he was unhappy he didn't receive a car tag when he wanted one.

She says, "It kind of upset me to start with, but then I got to thinking about it and said, we'll that's typical. Sometimes when somebody gets elected, it kind of goes to their head and one commissioner does not have authority to do anything without a majority vote of the whole board."

Sizemore says a vote was not taken to put the signs up, therefore one is not needed to take them down. At Tuesday night's commission meeting, parking spots for all county offices will be discussed.
