Americus, Ga. - An Americus man is one of four Georgia National Guardsmen killed in another bombing in Baghdad.

Sergeant First Class Victor Anderson of Americus and three others were killed around 11 Saturday night when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee.

Their deaths bring to nine the number of 48th Brigade soldiers killed since May.

July 24th,  Sgt. John Frank Thomas of Valdosta and Specialist Gus Brunson of Worth County were killed along with two other Atlanta area soldiers. The first 48th soldier was killed in a vehicle crash the day the brigade arrived in Kuwait.

The 48th Brigade is the largest combat unit of the Georgia National Guard to deploy since World War Two.
