Albany - The end of the season is almost here for the South Georgia Wildcats. who at 3-12 broke out the "wait until next year" bumper stickers several weeks ago.
The Wildcats close out their first season in Albany Saturday night at the Civic Center against the Green Bay Blizzard.
While the Blizzard are fighting for the right to host a playoff game next week, the Wildcats are simply hoping to end a disappointing season on a winning note.
With nothing to play for but pride, head coach Donnie Davis will shuffle his lineup tomorrow.
Among the changes is that Andrico Hines will start at quarterback.
Davis says the qb switch has nothing to do with the play of Brian Zbydniewski as Davis is simply wanting to give guys a chance to show teams in other leagues what they can do.
Donnie Davis said "That is our goal right now is to concentrate for one game, 60 minutes and get out there and see what we can do. We have moved some people around and doing some different things for this last game and just using it as a stepping stone into the offseason."
Davis says that offensive specialist Antwone Savage will not play in the final game of the season due to a hip pointer.
The Cats final game of the season starts at 7:30 p.m..
It is fan appreciation night where prizes including a pickup truck and vacation getaways are among the prizes that will be given out.
