Lee County- A man described as a "high level cocaine ringleader" is busted after a year long investigation by several South Georgia sheriff's departments.

Thirty one year old Barrett "Pony" Clinton is facing federal charges for distribution of a cocaine base over 50 grams. Deals were made mostly in Dougherty, Lee, and Sumter Counties, but he also had runners in Worth County and Terrell County. Investigators say Clinton was selling major weights and was believed to be pulling in over $30,000 a week.

"He was one of the big dealers. That's really the ones we're really after. Usually you can kill the snake if you cuts his head off and Mr. Barrett was definitely the head of his organization," said Chief Deputy Dennis Parker, Lee County Sheriff Dept.

Clinton has been arrested several times in the last couple of years, in several different counties. He's facing 20 years to life with no chance of parole.
