Drug dealer sentenced federally

July 28, 2005

Thomasville-- A Thomas County man is heading to federal prison for a decade.

Johnny Revels has pleaded guilty to trafficking and dealing cocaine. The 33 year old was indicted along with 10 others last year as part of a distribution conspiracy. Drug squad commander, Kevin Lee, says Revels was one of Thomas County's biggest suppliers.

Under federal sentencing guidelines, Revels will have to serve almost all of his 10 year sentence. After that, he will be in a 5 year supervised release program.
