SUV rollover leaves girl critical

July 27, 2005

Worth County-- A rollover single-vehicle accident leaves a teenaged girl in critical condition. The wreck happened just before 5:00PM Tuesday on U.S. 82 just east of Porter's Corner Road in Worth County.

The driver of the Ford Explorer, 16-year-old Brent Boynton, says he looked at a back seat passenger, and ran off the road. He overcorrected and ended up in the south ditch, when the vehicle rolled over.

The back seat passenger, 13-year-old Kristen Suggs, was not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected from SUV. She suffered serious injuries, and is in critical condition in the hospital.

The front seat passenger, 14-year-old Richard Suggs, who was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and is listed as in fair condition.

Boynton only had complaint of minor injuries, and has been discharged from Phoebe. The State Patrol says that charges are pending completion of the investigation.
