Valdosta - A South Georgia man is recognized for his contributions to the business community.
The Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce gave it's "Big Thinker" award to Tom Stalvey Wednesday. The award recognizes entrepreneurs who set high business goals and reach them.
Stalvey is the owner of ACE Electric and has created more than 200 jobs in Lowndes County. "He is a diligent, hard working community person. He not only provides a lot of jobs but he gives a lot of opportunity to others to excel and do well, and he makes a great contribution back to our community," said Curtis Fowler, "Big Thinker" Judge.
Stalvey helped start the Valdosta-Lowndes County Electrical Contractors Association and Integrated Electrical Services.
