Two qualify for open seat

July 27, 2005

Albany --- A former Albany commissioner and a preacher have already thrown in their hats to replace Dougherty County Commissioner William Hall.

Former Albany city commissioner David Williams and Reverend Rance Pettibone qualified Wednesday morning.

Hall recently stepped down from office after moving out of District Two.

A special election will be held September 20th to fill his vacated seat, and qualifying opened today, and runs through Friday at noon.
