Iraq-- Four soldiers with the 48th Brigade were killed Sunday when a roadside bomb exploded beside their convoy. The Macon Telegraph reports the attack occured while members of the bridge were conducting a regular patrol.

The names and units of the soldiers are being withheld until their families are notified.

A fifth soldier, who is not affiliated with the 48th Brigade, was wounded when a second bomb exploded during an investigation of the area.

The brigade is responsible for the security of an region southwest of Baghdad.
