Adel - A South Georgia town has a new place to help care for animals.
Adel city leaders dedicated their new animal control center Friday. It took 18 months to build the 2,000 square foot facility which is much bigger than their old building.
There's enough space to care for 20 large and 30 small animals, and plenty of room for expansion. "We'll be able to provide a safe, adequate facility where we can keep everyone's animals safe until we get it returned home to them," said Dr. Marshall Bennett.
The animal control center was named after Dr. William Bozeman, a long time veterinarian and former mayor of Adel.
