Jail escapee still on the loose

July 19, 2005

Ocilla- Twenty-one year old Christopher Dale Robinson and another inmate escaped from the Irwin County Detention Center around 9:00 Monday night.

Robinson was arrested in June for robbery by sudden snatching. The other man, 35 year old John Michael Holtz. was captured about an hour after the escape a couple of miles from the jail.

Authorities believe Robinson may still be in the area.

"Everybody needs to watch out for this inmate. He's escaped and we don't know what he might do. I just want to assure the citizens of Irwin County and surrounding counties that we're not going to rest until we get him back into custody," says detention center deputy director, Marcus Dunlap.

Robinson is about 5"9', and 150 pounds. He has brown hair, blue eyes, and a goatee. Law enforcers ask anyone with helpful information to call your local law enforcement agency.
