Colquitt County - 42-year old Vanessa Harris, a third grade teacher at Odum Elementary School in Colquitt County, was arrested early Sunday morning along with her husband, 48-year old Terry Harris, Sr. and her 18-year old son Justin.

According to investigators, Justin was standing outside the family's home on Price Road in Moultrie when approached by drug agents. He was arrested and told them his parents, along with 33-year old Travis Wade Crawford, 23-year old Belinda Gail Cason, both of Lake Park, and 22-year old Donna Nicole Montgomery, of Moultrie were in a barn on the property.

Inside, methamphetamine was found, and ingredients used to make the drug. All were charged with manufacturing, and are being held in the Colquitt County Jail.

The Superintendent of Colquitt County Schools, Leonard McCoy released a statement about the arrest of Vanessa Harris on Tuesday. He said, "Unless all charges are dropped or until evidence is presented to clearly prove the innocence of Mrs. Harris, she will not be working, in any capacity, in the Colquitt County Schools."
