Albany - Stonebridge Country Club has never started strong in the Challenge Cup matches against the city's other golf clubs.
And this year was no different with Grand Island leading the Ryder Cup style matches by six points after Saturday's alternate shot.
But Stonebridge showed their muscle in Sunday's 12 individual matches.
Led by pro Rob Allen, Stonebridge won 122 points to finish with 170 points and claiming their sixth Challenge Cup title in the eight year history of the tournament.
Grand Island was second with 142 points , Doublegate third with 115 points , River Pointe had 83 1/2 points and Radium finishes in fifth with 29 points.
Rob Allen "Every year if you have paid attention, we have always been down going to the last day but out singles matches is where we really rock and roll and come on strong."
Radium Country Club will host the ninth Challenge Cup next year.
