Albany- An Albany church is trying to fulfill what they're calling a big need in the community. The Church of Deliverance held their first annual "Free Market" day at their Christian outreach center on Moultrie Road.

Anyone in need could stop by and pick up necessary items donated by community businesses including, Staples, Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, Stein Mart and many others.

"Basic necessities for sure. Stoves, refrigerators, living room sets, dining room sets, kitchen items, toasters you name it, it's all there and it's ready for them to get," said Pastor Ezekiel Bolden, Church of the Deliverance.

The group helped to refurbish a house for a woman who lost most of her belongings in a fire. They hope the event inspires hope in the wake of rising crime, drugs, pregnancy, and poverty numbers.
