Rivers begin to recede from around homes

July 15, 2005

Lee County- The Kinchafoonee Creek is finally receding, a relief to the people whose homes are surrounded by water.

But to some, it's something to laugh at. The homes of the Edmonds on Creekside Drive are surrounded with water, so they've posted their No Wake sign and they've sent a stuffed animal fishing in the flood waters.

You can tell the water is receding by the mark on the trees off of Cypress Point. But there is water still covering some Lee County roads.
