Albany- At 10.8 million copies Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will become the largest initial print of any book in American history.

Several Albany book stores have been pre-selling copies of the J.K. Rowlings book for months. Those who present their vouchers at midnight will be guaranteed a copy.

Books-A-Million is also hosting a special Harry Potter party Friday night while readers wait until the stroke of midnight.

"We're going to have people going around doing face-painting, trivia contests, crafts, we're going to make a wizard's hat and a wand," says Books-A-Million general manager, Sue McPherson.

Fans will also be able to play game and watch Harry Potter movies. The party at Books-A-Million will begin at 9:00 Friday night. The store is located in the Albany Mall.
