Albany- The city needs a leader and commissioners are looking for one.

Five city manager candidates met one on one with city Commissioners and the mayor Thursday. All five candidates will be interviewed again by the full commission Friday. Right now, city leaders won't release any information about the candidates, but they did say they're all from out of town. They haven't set a deadline for a decision.

"The mayor and commission have given no indication that they have a timeline," said Assistant City Manager Kevin Hogencamp. "But we all recognize everyday we go without a city manager is a disadvantage for us as an organization."

Arthur Williams was the only commissioner who didn't show up for interviews today. He did not let the mayor's office know why he wasn't there.
