Albany- A Marine Sergeant is found guilty of raping a woman he once dated. The defense argued that the sex was consensual, but the Albany jury found Stewart guilty. Darrell Stewart raped the victim last September. Prosecutors say their witnesses were credible.

"It's very huge, especially given the fact that rape cases are some of the most difficult cases to prove. I think it was very important for us to vindicate this very courageous victims efforts in the fact that she came forward," said Chris Cohilas, Asst. District Attorney.

Stewart was also found guilty of burglary, aggravated assault, stalking, aggravated stalking, and possessing a firearm during a crime.
