Albany-- A sales campaign for magnets has prompted the Chamber of Commerce to issue a statement saying that the Chamber is not involved in the enterprise.
Here is the Chamber's statement received by WALB Wednesday morning:
It has come to the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce’ s attention a company, UCA Marketing, is calling our Chamber Members soliciting sponsorships for a magnet that is being produced on behalf the Chamber. Please remember if you have questions about an organization soliciting sponsorship on behalf of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce, call us. We will be able to tell you if we are endorsing the event.
