Albany- The regional American Gospel Quartet Convention will kick off in Albany Friday.

In addition to several services where the singers will perform, there will also be workshops on signing a contract, getting songs copy written, and entertainment management.

"There are so many gospel groups. We talk about the old-time gospel singing and the contemporary quartet singing that's going to take place, and it's all about networking and fellowshipping," says Rev, Troy Davis.

Executives from several record companies will also be teaching several workshops. The convention will begin Friday at 7 PM and run through Saturday evening. All events will be held at the Albany Hotel. For more information contact William Livingston at 229-879-1776.
