Thomasville-- A Thomasville man is facing charges for shooting at a police officer on Saturday morning.

Investigators say Jobe Crawford shot at a Thomasville Police Officer with a handgun from a porch on Wright Street. The patrolman was not hit. Investigators say he was responding to a domestic dispute when Crawford opened fire and ran.

Police setup a perimeter in the immediate area and caught Crawford just minutes later. He has been charged with assault and battery and aggravated assault on a police officer with a firearm. The gun has not been recovered.
