Albany - An Albany business made sure that families on the east side of town enjoyed a great Independence Day. Hundreds of people enjoyed games and food thanks to J.L. Litman Memorial Funeral Service.

For the last seven years, John Litman and his staff have sponsored a community cook-out in East Albany, feeding hundreds of people at Blaylock Park.

"This just gives us the oppurtunity to celebrate the independance we enjoy because of the hard work and sacrifices made by our military and by others," said owner John Litman.

The Litmans also take box lunches to seniors who can't make it out to the park and to those in nursing homes.
