Books and pediatricians. You probably don't put the two together, but a growing number of doctors say you should.
When Dr. Andy Shulstad does a checkup his first step is not a physical exam.
It's giving the child a book.
Dr. Shulstad also uses books as developmental tools.
As his patients keep growing, Dr. Shulstad can guide their mothers on the best books at each age.
But he warns, once your kids get hooked on reading there's usually no stopping them.
